Dear Participant,

In signing this contract you agree to participate in a display of collective will.

On April 21st, 2003 (Patriots Day) at exactly 9:00 am, members of the community will simultaneously drop articles of white clothing to the ground on Daley Plaza. The precise timing of the drop will be taken from the ninth chime of the bell in the clock tower adjacent to the plaza. The performers should then proceed to their workplaces without drawing further attention to themselves, speaking to the public, or each other. The spectacle should appear as if from nowhere. Participants are free to choose the particular piece of clothing to be dropped, but they should be wearing the piece on entering the site. The clothing will remain in place until removed by the city.
