The current Pope, Francis, has divided the Catholic Church with his admonitions to treat all people with dignity and respect. On Columbus Day, which is also Indigenous People’s Day, Monday October 8th 2018, Industry of the Ordinary hold a vigil and remembrance for the many thousands of displaced people who have recently tried, and often failed, to find safe harbor. They carry a life raft through the Saint Vincent De Paul church in Chicago and thence down Fullerton Avenue to the shoreline of Lake Michigan.
